Description
Knitted to a pattern familiar to generations of fishermen's wives, Etre's hand-knit hat is customised with motifs that originate from the centuries-old fishing communities of Polperro and Staithes. These motifs were incorporated as symbols of good luck, and were also used to identify the fisherman's home port or family in the event that he became the victim of an accident at sea.
Each hat is hand-crafted from the finest 5-ply worsted wool, spun and dyed in Yorkshire mills that have been turning out the same material for generations.
Made in the British Isles.
